Why do dogs lick owners?

At the end of going for a walk or giving you food does your dog start to lick you without stopping?

Dogs lick the members of their group, yes, they consider him the leader of the pack, for several reasons and understanding the reasons can help him to accept the behavior better or to correct it.

Why do dogs lick owners?

Just as your dog licks the bowl at the end of the meal or the floor after having eaten spilled because it is tasty, the same can also happen with us. Cesar Miller, known as the 'dog lover' explains on his Cesar's Way website that dogs lick us because we may have small particles of food on our skin and because they like the salty taste our own skin has.

As they have a habit of licking when they have a wound, they may also lick the owner when they notice that he is injured. And besides, the act of licking the owner is also a show of affection, a bit like a kiss for humans.
