Have you ever made a face mask at home?

Caring for the face is not just a matter of vanity. Having nourished, hydrated and cared skin is synonymous with healthy, revitalized skin and even better self-esteem.

Knowing, moisturizing, exfoliating, nourishing, protecting and feeding are the actions to take into account when treating skin health and to apply daily a routine of beauty that respects the type of skin you have.

And since uncomplicated to the max is one of the requirements for an effective beauty routine, nothing like betting on the masks that can be made at home, at the time and with the ingredients you have in the kitchen (and, yes, saving yourself some time in surveys and readings of labels often indecipherable).

Mind Body Green has identified the best ingredients and the most beneficial properties and has created a series of 'mixes' that promise to favor the skin of the face and neck and also give a boost of nutrients to the hair.

Mask for dry skin

Ingredients: One cup of unglazed natural yogurt, one-third of a banana, half an avocado, two tablespoons of aloe vera and a tablespoon of olive oil.
Preparation and application: Place all food in a processor and grind until smooth but dense. Put on face and neck and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove with a soft towel and warm water.
The milk enzymes that make up the yogurt will help clear the skin of dead cells, making it more receptive to the power of other ingredients, in particular aloe vera, which helps to soothe the skin.

Mask for hard skin

Ingredients: One to two tablespoons of lemon juice, one tablespoon of indian saffron, half papaya and one tablespoon of cinnamon.
Preparation and application: Remove the pevides from the papaya and mash it together with the remaining ingredients until a smooth paste is obtained. Before applying the mask on the skin, once the turmeric can dye the skin, one should apply a cleansing moisturizer. Then let the mask act for five to 10 minutes and remove it with warm water.
By having exfoliating properties, the components of the lemon act as a natural cleansing gel, leaving the anti-inflammatory power of the Indian saffron to act along with the cinnamon, which favors the blood circulation, leaving the skin less dense and smoother.

Mask for oily skin

Ingredients: Two to three tablespoons of coffee or oats, two egg whites, a tablespoon of cider vinegar, four strawberries and a dash of mint.
Preparation and application: Begin by grinding in a mint bowl with the strawberries and then add the remaining ingredients and process them all in a blender. The consistency should be granulated. Apply for a few minutes and remove with lukewarm water.
The combination of these ingredients will act as a kind of protective shield against the natural oiliness of the skin.

Mask for more radiant skin (can be applied on all skin types)

Ingredients: Three tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of matcha powder.
Preparation and application: Mix the two ingredients and apply to the skin for 15 to 20 minutes, spreading the paste with your fingers while massaging the face.
These two ingredients have a high anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal power and promise to leave the skin moisturized, nourished and healthy. After all, cosmetics have already surrendered to matcha.
