Oats

Protein, fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3 and folic acid. These are the main components of oats, one of the most nutritious, versatile and suitable cereals for the various type of diet.

When combined with other ingredients such as spinach, cinnamon and hemp seeds, oats can give rise to a fairly healthy and balanced meal, however, some care is needed so that their consumption does not lead to weight gain and , as a consequence, to health problems such as obesity or diabetes.

But since moderation is the watchword, regular and balanced consumption of oats has a truly positive impact on health, being directly associated with improvements in the digestive system and even more effective regulation of blood sugar levels.

But the Health magazine identifies other good reasons to surrender to this cereal:

1 - Healthier heart, by containing beta-glucan (a type of fiber), oats is able to facilitate the reduction of cholesterol levels, one of the factors that most promotes good cardiovascular health.

2 - More satiety, the high levels of soluble and insoluble fiber present in oat make this cereal one of the best 'fuels' for the organism, since it promotes a sensation of satiety in the long term.

3 - More effective digestive system, the fiber present in this cereal assumes itself as the protagonist of its positive impact on the body, being responsible for the proper functioning of the digestive system, which, by itself, prevents conditions such as constipation.

4 - It offers a wide range of nutrients, in addition to all micro and macronutrients mentioned above, oats also has omega 3 fatty acids, another component that favors not only heart health, but also memory. In addition, it brings benefits to the immune system.

5 - Keeps diabetes away, by successfully regulating blood sugar levels, regular consumption of oats is thus able to prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.
